The Jack

Veterans often miss the camaraderie with fellow military-connected students. We saw this gap on our own campus and decided to create something great.

Founded in 2020, the Jack W. Liebert Military & Veteran Resource Center is your central point for everything you need as a military-connected student on campus. This beautiful center houses military student service offices, a USO-style lounge, study spaces and communal spaces. The Jack gives you access to everything you need to transition successfully into college life and prepare yourself for a successful future.

The most popular parts of The Jack are, of course, the recreation and communal spaces where military-connected students are able to come together, share their experiences and be with other students who hold the same values, share the same experiences and approach life and the world around them in similar ways. It’s a place to gather with other veterans and military students and work through this transitional time of your lives together.

The USA House

If The Jack is the hub on campus for military-connected students at Ashland University, the USA House offers a unique way to build community from the very beginning of your college experience.

Located near key campus facilities like The Jack, Convo, and the Rec Center, this newly remodeled residence provides a distinctive environment crafted to meet the specific needs of our military-connected community. Only a two-minute walk away, the USA House offers an on-site RA, communal living areas, and up to 18 single-occupancy double rooms exclusively reserved for military-connected students.

Accommodating both males and females, each room comes furnished with practical essentials, including a bed, a desk, dressers, and a wardrobe, creating an environment that balances relaxation with academic focus.

Common areas within the USA House provide opportunities for both relaxation and entertainment. With new furniture, streaming-equipped TVs, and engaging activities like pool, foosball and cornhole, you'll have plenty of ways to unwind and connect with your fellow residents.

And because it is designed exclusively for military-connected students, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with students who share your experiences like never before.

Post-Graduate Commitment

Part of our promise to you is a lifetime of support that continues long after graduation. From job placement and career guidance to mentorship relationships, ongoing support and connections that you carry with you going forward, Ashland University is dedicated to your success, from the first interaction on.
