G.I. Bill & Yellow Ribbon Program

An experience like nowhere else

The steepest hill to climb for sailors transitioning to college is obtaining the benefits you qualify for. That’s why we’ve committed to doing all the heavy lifting for you.

From your first contact with a member of our team, we determine which GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program benefits you’re eligible for and begin the application process.

The Yellow Ribbon Program helps cover costs for out-of-state and/or private tuition not covered by the GI Bill. Whereas many private schools honor some portion of the Yellow Ribbon Program and only for a limited number of students per year, Ashland is one of the only private universities in America to pledge maximum coverage for as many students who qualify. But even in (the very, very rare) cases where these programs aren’t relevant or don’t cover everything, we will find other resources available to fully cover your tuition expenses.

Click the button below and enter your information. We’ll be in touch with you shortly and start determining which benefits you qualify for.

How This Works

At every step of the journey,
your success is our mission.

The transition from the Navy to college can be challenging. That’s why we’re here for you, step by step, from your initial interaction on.

When you come to Ashland, we want your focus to be solely on being a student. Before you even come to visit campus for the first time, we’ve already determined which specific benefits you qualify for. During your campus visit, we’ll give you a tour, show you around The Jack, our dedicated military and veteran center, and help you navigate the daily details of college life—housing, finances, meals, meeting faculty, scheduling classes, partnering with other veterans who can advise you on any details you may have questions about and so much more!

Our plan moves you toward success, step by step, and allows you to focus on what’s most important during this next season of your life. Whether you are taking classes in-person on campus, online, or a hybrid of the two, we’re with you at every point.
