In keeping with Ashland University's commitment to “Accent on the Individual” and its expression through The Ashland Promise, the university established the Jack W. Liebert Military & Veteran Resource Center (“The Jack”) on campus. The Jack's mission is to provide individualized resources for veterans like you enrolled at Ashland University.
Sparked by her passion for veterans in the Ashland University community, Debbie Liebert Karl (’72) contributed $1,000,000 to establish the Military & Veteran Resource Center. Her personal plea to the Governor of Ohio and his team secured an equal match to her gift. Inspired by her Navy veteran father and the fact that Ashland showed continual dedication to her personal success during her undergraduate years, her dream was to give back to both the university and its veteran students in a way that could make a real difference in their individual lives.
Dedicated in 2020, The Jack provides you with everything you need as a military-connected or veteran student on campus. The Jack works as a one-stop-shop, and gives you access to everything you need to transition successfully into college life and equip yourself for a successful future.
