Ashland University is an Equal Opportunity/Equal Access Institution
As a guardsman, you may qualify for a wide range of benefits. But the process of figuring out which benefits apply and then going through the process of securing them can be overwhelming. Determining which benefits are applicable to you is the first step in your transition to college life and our team will handle it all, start to finish. Whether you’ve started the process yourself or not, click below to enter your information and allow us to begin securing every benefit you’re entitled to.
To achieve what you want to achieve requires a plan. It also requires taking a comprehensive look at who you are as an individual, your goals and challenges and the skills you either have developed or continue to develop in the National Guard, depending on your current status. Our Promise to you includes helping you create a plan for the future, which includes finding a career, charting an educational path towards it, and giving you access to mentorship and internship opportunities that will prepare you for life beyond college.

The transition from the military back into a classroom setting is difficult for many students. We want you to succeed. And to make sure you stay on track academically, we provide academic and tutoring services tailored to your unique learning needs and style. We provide assistance with scheduling, transportation, internship placement and a wide range of other factors relating to your academic success.
Our faculty are directly involved with your academic advocacy, as well. On our campus we have Certified Veteran Advocate faculty members, professors who go through certification because they want to connect and support military-connected students.
At most schools, it can be easy to get left behind. At Ashland University, that won’t happen. Instead, we’ve created a culture where all individuals are given the attention and help they need, which includes intentional communities built for and by military-connected and veteran students.
We are also deeply involved with national organizations like Student Veterans of America and National Veteran Leadership Foundation, which provides you with opportunities to network with other military-connected students, find a community that stretches far beyond the borders of campus, and provides you with the kind of leadership opportunities that allow you to make a real difference in the world and gain experience employers covet.
You can’t go it alone. And, at Ashland, you will never have to.
In acknowledgement of our ongoing support for military-connected students on campus, Ashland University is a recipient of the Collegiate Purple Star, an award that honors schools that show a significant commitment to military students and their families.
Ashland University is in the top ten nationally for schools focused on military-connected and veteran students and their families, and first among private universities in America. We’ve committed significant resources to guide and support you during and after this major transition.
